The Joy and Pain in Relationships
Chris Brady shares some deep thoughts on the power of relationships to bring joy or pain into a person's life. Because of the importance of relationships, Orrin Woodward in his All-Time Top 100 Leadership Book RESOLVED: 13 Resolutions for LIFE, had chapters on both friendship and conflict resolution. Clearly, Orrin must feel this is an important part of a leaders success. Focus on building long-term relationships because all business is relationships; otherwise, a person will be dealing with the pain that Brady describes so well below.
We never met our neighbors on one side. By the time we bought our home the husband had already moved out. We saw the children once in a while, roughly the same age as our own, but that was about it. Otherwise, the house usually looked vacant.
Then one day I heard some racket and looked over to see a work crew dismantling the extensive wooden playset in the back yard. Piece by piece, it was being unceremonially hurled into the back of a rusty pickup truck. Soon, all that remained was a sad patch of woodchips where a happy playground had once been.
It was all a metaphor for the pain of broken relationships. My seminary professor, Dr. Doug Bookman, once made a profound statement about the deepest pain in human experience being relational pain. Contemplating this, I agreed with him. Nothing hurts more than a broken bond with another person. Hurt feelings are the strongest feelings of hurt we can experience. In particular, when a family breaks apart it is serious business. Pain flings itself in every direction and misses no one with its touch of lasting destruction.
Watching those workmen that day, I thought back over my life and the empty patches of woodchips in certain backyards of my memory. I have been fortunate, as there are not too many of them, but the ones I do have are strong testimony to the truth of Bookman's comment.
Keep the playset in your backyard in good working order. Maintain it daily with love and affection. Be intentionally loving and serving in the lives of the people God has brought into your life. Guard your relationships with constant vigilance. It's much easier to maintain good relationships and mend frazzled ones than to let them be carried away in a rusty truck. Once that happens, all that is left is a lonely patch of woodchips quietly suggesting what could have been.

Developing People Skills
Tim Marks has one of the best stories in the LIFE Business. Also, he has one of the best books in Voyage of a Viking. Tim's journey from a non-people oriented person to a great leader of men and women is impressive. Orrin Woodward believes Tim is the fastest in the LIFE community to go from problem identified to problem fixed, this is due to his hunger to improve and win. Here is Tim's thoughts on people skills.
This last weekend, I was travelling up to Ontario, Canada, to deliver a speech to a large business group. My wife Amy and I decided to get a rental car in Detroit and drive the rest of the way. As we were crossing the border into Canada, the customs agent asked us the nature of our visit. I replied truthfully that we were going to a LIFE business seminar, and as the conversation progressed, I explained that we were not just attending the event.…We were the keynote speakers.
This young lady did not like my answer; in fact, she seemed downright ornery. I can’t imagine being a customs agent is a ‘fun’ job, and perhaps she hadn’t yet listened to a lot of positive attitude CDs that day. But it really seemed she had woken up on the wrong side of the bed that day. She proceeded to ask me what made me qualified to be the speaker and why an American had to give the presentation and not a Canadian! The conversation went downhill from there. She soon demanded written proof that we had been invited to speak in Canada and threatened to send us packing if we didn’t produce some sort of formal invitation. This was a serious problem because I had a thousand people counting on me to arrive and inspire their business teams!
Now, the Tim Marks of the old days would have responded very harshly when backed against the wall like this. The old Tim would have wanted to put her in her place and show her who’s boss. The old Tim would have wanted to prove that she was wrong and I was right. And the old Tim would have won the battle, lost the war, and been sent packing back to Florida! Thank goodness the (somewhat) “new and improved” Tim was at the border that day because I got to practice all the people skills I had ever learned.
First, I got to practice remaining calm. I knew that if I got my knickers in a twist, I would look and sound angry, and that wouldn’t help anything. Second, I realized she had total control over my situation, whether that seemed fair or not. So I let her be the boss. When she said, “Get me some proof,” I said “Yes, ma’am!” I agreed with her that I should have the documentation and that I would get busy finding it. I got on the phone with the TEAM office, and after much scrambling around on a Saturday afternoon, the great people at the office were able to produce sufficient documentation to calm her down. (Thanks, Kyle Nelson and Rob Hallstrand!)
Years ago, I read in an article that 88% of the reason of someone “being invited to leave” (read: getting fired from) his or her job was because of interpersonal problems…and that poor people skills are the root cause of relationship problems. Unfortunately, most of us have not read enough people skills books (or perhaps any!) to have mastered this critical ability. I remember reading Dale Carnegie’s timeless classic How to Win Friends and Influence People—probably the best people skills book ever written. It had been recommended to me by my mentor Orrin Woodward, co-author of the New York Times bestseller Launching a Leadership Revolution. It really impacted me. I remember feeling embarrassed because of my appalling lack of knowledge in this area. I was probably violating every principle in that book weekly, if not daily. I was in a managerial roll at my job as an engineer, and I wasn’t leading people; I was lording over them by intimidating and humiliating them. My nickname around the plant was “The Viking” because someone remarked once that if you needed to find Tim Marks, you just needed to follow the proverbial trail of blood and guts. I was a real jerk to my staff, and I was starting to realize it.
However, I also realized that I wasn’t stuck. I could change. I could make it a priority to become a gentler and kinder person and leader. So I dove into these sort of books and worked very hard over the years to sand off my rough edges. I still need a lot of improvement, but I am a lot better than I used to be! If I can do it, I know you can, too!

Oliver DeMille: The Four Lost American Ideals
Oliver DeMille has a great CD in the LIFE Business called The Four Lost American Ideals. It is an enlightening talk with many concepts that explain American history. In fact, Orrin Woodward said it was one of his favorite CDs. Learning while be rewarded with the LIFE Business Compensation Plan is a great package deal. Here is Oliver's thoughts on the Four Ideals.
Oliver DeMille draws from intensive study of the Founding generation to identify five defining ideals of Americanism:
- Freedom
- Georgics
- Providence
- Liber
- Public Virtue
Although the first, freedom, has not yet been fully lost, it is steadily declining because of the loss of the other four. These four ideals permeated early American society but have largely been forgotten.
Georgics
The word “georgics” comes from the Greek “geo,” meaning earth, and “ergon,” meaning work. The literal translation, therefore, means to work, or farm the earth.
Translated to fit modern times, the essence of the word is “ownership.”
America was built on the backs of free and independent owners. The more owners we have, the more freedom we enjoy, and vice versa.
(*Note that Oliver inadvertently misspoke during the lecture and says the word “georgics” comes from the Latin.)
Providence
There are two aspects to the concept of providence: 1) there is a Higher Power, or God, and 2) God has a specific purpose — or mission — for every individual.
Those who believe in and submit to providence live virtuous and courageous lives of service and leave legacies. They work with passion and purpose. They live by design, rather than default.
Liber
“Liber” is a Latin word for tree bark. It’s also the root word of “library” and “liberty,” revealing the relationship between knowledge and freedom.
In the ancient world tree bark used to write on, and there were generally two groups of people: slaves and liber. To be “liber” meant that one could read, write and engage in contract.
Liber means much more than mere literacy — it means that you have the ability to think, learn and lead. It means being able to engage with the greatest thinkers, respond intelligently, and practically apply knowledge to improve the world.
Public Virtue
Public virtue means to voluntarily sacrifice personal benefit for the good of society.
Those who have lived the first three ideals (liberally educated owners engaged in personal mission) can apply public virtue to transform society when it matters most.

Aron Radosa: Mental Fitness Challenge
Aron Radosa, leader in the LIFE Business, shares his thoughts on the Mental Fitness Challenge. Why has the MFC been such a huge hit? Simply because everyone in North America can improve in people skill and leadership ability and the MFC does just that! Think about it. 90 days of training with video follow through on each chapter for $220?!? No one in the leadership field has better training with proven results than Orrin Woodward and Chris Brady do with the challenge. Here is Aron with his thoughts.
Between the comments by multiple people in my life and two leaders in the world today- Chris Brady and Bill Lewis, I believe everyone should be striving with their family, friends, and co-workers to challenge each other with the Mental Fitness Challenge.

What a grand challenge! For the last 10 years, I have been emersed in the self-improvement and leadership environment and as I go through the MFC, I find myself constantly being encouraged to be more. In a world that believes that just by doing more will translate into a “win”, I feel through the 1st 8 days, I am called to be more. In the 1st CD (MFC1 – 13 Resolutions for Life), Orrin Woodward talks about true involvement in any worthwhile endeavor requires mind, heart, and will. He demostrates how the “soul can be schooled” through the improvements of each area.
In the 2nd CD (MFC2- Self-directed Education), Chris Brady coins the phrase “Refe-vival-ssance” ( I apologize for the spelling. This is my guess of the correct spelling). This is the concept of three needs in today’s world. 1) Reformation – A return to the truth in all aspects. 2) Revival – An excitement of multiple generations and individuals talking and living the truth. 3) Renaissance – An appreciation of the beauty of art, music, and literature without the loss of truth.
I will not take away your joy 0f a true challenge of becoming who God meant you to be and being comfortable in your own skin. Grab the package and grab some friends. I Dare you to take the Challenge — The Mental Fitness Challenge!!
God bless, Aron
Steel the mind and Tender the heart.

Bill Lewis: Building Trust
Bill Lewis, one of the LIFE Business Founders, wrote a great article on trust. Without trust, communities cannot grow because people will only follow others as far as they trust them. No trust equals no leadership. Orrin Woodward has built the largest unified compensated community in North America though building trust. He shares his methods in Launching a Leadership Revolution and RESOLVED: 13 Resolutions for LIFE, both available through the LIFE Business. Bill's article is below.
I know this subject is talked to death but it is the most important one in developing any successful relationship. Spousal, children and business partner relationships are all forged on the anvil of trust. If the anvil is weak then the relationships will be forged in weakness and eventually fall apart. If the anvil is strong then the relationship will be equally strong. Think about when someone asks you, “Do you trust that person?” That’s a strong question because it also speaks to your ability to evaluate people. So, what we are going to dig into is a few ways that you could be losing trust?
Becoming trusted also requires reciprocity, awillingness on both sides to enter into dialouge and conversation. It takes time, because while trust may sometimes be forged in moments of great drama, it is more likely to be formed by many small, moment-to-moment encounters.
Kouzes and Posner in
I believe the quote you just read is implying that most people think about trust from this perception. When a big event happens and we display our trustworthyness that that is it but there is also the day to day events where you could be losing your friends trust. Worst yet you could be losing trust with yourself.
Is your behavior predictable or erratic?
I would guess that most people wouldn’t expect this question to determine your trustworthyness but let’s take a look. Think about the person you know that is always erratic in how they respond, how they feel, or how they act. It becomes hard to know how they will behave so that makes us uneasy. Consistency of action and reaction is what makes people feel secure with us. Let me give you a personal example. I was erratic with my mood. I would let situations control my reactions. Someone would call me while I was eating and I would answer the phone and I sounded like that person just spit on my sandwich. “Helloooooooo!” I am sure my tone sounded like, “What are you calling me for. Don’t you know I am eating.” I am sure it sounded like that because that was what I was thinking. The next time they called me I would be like, “Hello
:):):):):):)” sounding like, “I have been waiting for you to call.” Now, after a few times of this teeter-totter that person just stopped calling. Whether your in business, speaking to your spouse, or talking to your kids no one feels comfortable with erratic responses. What areas of your life are inconsistent? The more inconsistent we are the weaker our bond will be with people.
Do you communicate clearly or carelessly?
What we are talking about here is do you make promises and then don’t keep them. Do you do what you say you are going to do no matter what? This one is interesting because the people that violate it the most don’t do so intentionally, however, wether they realize it or not, they are still causing the foundation of trust to crumble. You see, when you tell people you are going to do something, be somewhere at a certain time, have something done, etc… in your mind you might have good intentions but to the other person it was a promise. If a promise isn’t kept then the other person starts to lose trust with you in that situation. If it happens enough times you might start to erode their overall trust. The key here is under-promise and over deliver. The next step is to start determining why you do this: Are you trying to feel involved, are you a people pleaser, do you over extend yourself, not plan enough, don’t have the skill to do what is being asked of you. Whatever the reason is we need to identify and fix it before we damage relationships.
Are we forthright and candid or are we deceptive and dishonest?
Basically are you intentionally lying or are you telling the truth. It’s shocking how easy it is to get to the point that lying seems easier then telling the truth but in the long run it creates more havoc. I have seen people get to the point that they lie so much they believe their own lie. This one will obviously destroy relationships. We need to figure out why we do it. Are we afraid of what the other person will think? Are we afraid of what we will have to face? Have we convinced ourselves that it is easier to lie then change the thing we are lying about? Whatever it is I can guarantee you that the statement,”The truth shall set you free” is correct. If it wasn’t the statement wouldn’t exist.
I have been very blessed to be able to associate with people like, Orrin Woodward and Chris Brady, who have shown me what it is like to totally trust someone. Not only what they say and do but their motives as well. I hope you are blessed to find someone who can help you establish a firm foundation of trust.
God Bless
Bill Lewis

Orrin Woodward: Twitter Ranks
Orrin Woodward's influence is moving up due to his fast growing LIFE Business and numerous best-selling books. The easiest way to determine if someone is a leader is to see who is following them. No followers equals no leadership. Orrin routinely fills stadiums around the USA and Canada so clearly many people must follow his leadership principles. Clint Fix, an engineer and growing leader, wrote a detailed review of Orrin's influence posted below:
Leadership coaching (or what some call self-help or personal development) is one of the fastest growing industries in our economy. Even though it is already a behemoth of an industry with estimates placing it in the multi-billion dollar a year range, it is expected to continue growing at a pace topping 6% annually. People are looking for an edge in these tough economic times and many are finding what they’re looking for in this industry. Who are some of the top producers and leaders in the field? Of course you have your well known contributors like John Maxwell and Steven Covey, but there are many up-and-coming people in the field that are making some radical changes in the way business is done and the fanfare they’re receiving is a testament to their ideas.
Today, I pulled an updated list from the Twitter directory WeFollow that lists out the top people on Twitter in the area of Leadership. Since Twitter grows followers organically, I find it as a great barometer for who’s actually reaching people and making a difference. Here are some screenshots of the results:

There are a lot of great leaders on these lists, but one thing that I noticed is that only one person on both of these lists actually mentored someone else onto the list. That person is Orrin Woodward. He personally mentored Chris BradyRascalTweets) into the top ranks. If that’s not a sign of great leadership, I don’t know what is. Of course, it’s not the first time Orrin mentored Chris into the top leadership ranks. (
I just wanted to post this as a congratulations to Orrin Woodward and Chris Brady for continuing to climb the ranks. Their leadership content both on and off the web is incredible and it is continually getting better.
Here is Orrin Woodward’s bio if you want to know more about him:

Therefore, Orrin and LIFE’s stated purpose is to change lives by helping individuals grow into purpose-driven leaders as they grow successful community-based businesses.
Co-Founder of LIFE: As the founder of LIFE, Orrin is committed to bringing lasting, personal change into the lives of thousands of families. Character Produces Results
Character produces results. Why? Because without character nobody will follow you, thus nothing significant ever gets accomplished. It takes teams to win in business and life. The LIFE Business is a team of people who are tired of watching work-ethic and principles drop. Instead of joining in the decline, the LIFE community has followed the principles taught in Orrin Woodward's book RESOLVED: 13 Resolutions for LIFE. The book is an All-Time Top 100 Leadership Book and walks a person through the steps of change and growth. George Guzzardo is an excellent example of this transformation and here is a superb article from him.
How long has America and for that matter the western culture gone without producing a viable leadership model? The names of leaders that compare with those of the past are conspicuously absent from the records over the last fifty years outside of names like Ronald Reagan. What makes a leader different is not that the majority vote for them but rather that they stand on timeless principles regardless of the popular trends. Remember that any of the qualities of a leader can be developed. Who wants to sign up for that position?
The study of leadership is legion. Words to describe leaders abound in all the leadership literature and studies. I’ve had the opportunity to work with top leadership expert and best selling author Orrin Woodward over the last eighteen years so I’ve had a front row seat to see some of the top qualities that makes a leader worth following. What qualities give the leader influence?
Many studies report and I would agree that the top leadership quality is character. Character being the number one quality because it defines you. Just who are you? How many of those in a position of influence have succumbed to a moral lapse of judgment? How many have been forced to resign, be investigated for impeachment or are suspect of conspiracy to hide facts? These people simply lack character worth following. This leads right to the number one quality required to master character and that is courage. Moral courage is the courage to act rightly in the face of popular opposition, shame, scandal, or discouragement. Winston Churchill said, “Courage is rightly esteemed the first of human qualities because it is the quality which guarantees all others.” Unfortunately there is evidence of a lapse of moral courage in the world today.
Competency might be listed as the second most important quality because once people respect your character you better darn well know what you are doing. Competency is the ability to get the job done and complete the project. Competency does not mean getting straight A’s. It means being able to do the task. No one will follow anyone who can’t do the job.
Becoming a leader of character who is competent requires work ethic. Courage is needed to perform while facing the fear of mistakes until you learn the necessary skill. It helps to learn from a mentor who has developed the habits you are looking to gain. That mentor can also give advise about how to adjust your performance after you’ve made some mistakes. Author Robert Kiyosaki who studied under the great professor Buckminster Fuller was educated that the deepest learning arises from mistakes. Associating with a like - minded group who are learning how to improve their own qualities in addition to books and audios also gives reinforcement. Associating, reading, and listening gives instruction on how to do the task and belief that you to can do it. The Team system of open meetings and seminars are integral for the leadership model of the LIFE business.
There are numerous testimonies from those who have used the LIFE business products describing how they have been helped to nurture these qualities in their life. Many of them are now leading their households, ministries, teams and business. The LIFE buisness becomes a multiplier to who they are becoming and what they do. They find themselves performing better in their roles of life from marriage to parenting and even their jobs. I believe we are witnessing the business of the future right now. Somehow we need to fill the leadership void that has become evident throughout our culture. We need a principled base leadership company that helps people develop these qualities in their lives. The Life business has been created to fill the void. Who wants the position? God Bless, George Guzzardo

Dan Hawkins has become one of the top leaders because he is one of the top students. For instance, he set a goal to develop his writing skills for when he writes his first book and the rapid improvement is impressive. Dan has followed Orrin Woodward and Chris Brady's philosophy that hunger makes the difference. Because Dan is hungry, his skills and results continue to progress. Dan's article below shares the proper respect one ought to show to the words one uses. Unfortunately, few people understand or follow this principle; however, top leaders will never become top leaders or have large communities if this principle is violated. In fact, when people speak ill of others, it's typically the gossiper that has the real problem.

Do you use your words for good or evil? Do you even realize you have that power? One of the key principles we teach in the LIFE business and the Team training system is the power of your words to uplift those around you. We can choose to lift up or tear down people we interact with, but we must consciously choose daily.
It saddens me to even write this article, but anyone who becomes aware of this problem can begin to help solve it. We have all been in a situation where words were used like a sword in battle, cutting someone to the bone and causing a great deal of pain. Why does it seem that when we find ourselves in a verbal conflict, we so often reach for the weapon of harsh words that hurt instead of grabbing uplifting words that heal?
We all suffer from the same human affliction, the tendency toward sin. It seems we tend to judge others by their actions, but only judge ourselves by our intentions. It amazes me to see the amount of gossip and slander taking place online today. People seem to think it is their “duty” to share their perspective on a topic; however, words that are filled with gossip and slander are less about truth and more about revenge or blame!
I recently grabbed a book off of my shelf that I decided to reread because of the impact it had on me. The Weight of Your Words by Joseph M. Stowell is a powerful book to help us understand our tendencies toward using hurtful words and why others choose this destructive path. Once your thoughts become words that you express either in verbal or written form, they become irretrievable.
A young man once asked a monk, “I’ve sinned by telling slanderous tales about someone. What should I do?” The monk replied, “Put a feather on every doorstep in town.” The young man did just that. He then returned to the monk, wondering if there was anything else he should do. “Go back and pick up all those feathers,” the monk told him. The young man replied excitedly, “That’s impossible! By now the wind will have blown them all over town!” Said the monk, “So have your slanderous words become impossible to retrieve.”
In my experience, if someone is constantly using gossip and slander as a weapon, the problem lies more with that person rather than the person being attacked! Just the other day, I was reading an article in which the authors were attacking others for their character, business, friends, and so on. I started to notice that they thought everything bad that happened to them was someone else’s fault! Now, the only way for that to be true is if these people were claiming to be perfect or without fault. Anyone with any common sense will realize within a matter of minutes that something is very wrong with this picture.
Let me explain. There is not a single rational person who would believe any problem is totally one-sided. A normal disagreement always has two sides with the truth usually hanging out somewhere in between the two; no side is without fault.
So why would someone attack verbally, spreading rumors and unjustified criticism that can destroy others? Joseph M. Stowell explains what he calls “the self-centered six,” six reasons people fall into this trap:
- Curiosity – Some people travel down this road just because they are curious. We all know curiosity killed the cat!
In and of itself, curiosity is a good thing; it is why science grows, inventors invent, and theologians gain understanding. But we also need to be discerning about where our curiosity leads us. - Idleness – In the Bible, Paul explains that people with time on their hands may be prone to malicious speech. People who are constructively involved with their own responsibilities have little time to be nosy about the responsibilities of others.
- Desire to be the center of attention – Gossip and slander tend to draw the attention of others, like an accident on the side of the road that everyone slows down to gawk at. Some people love to be the center of attention so much that they will risk the reputation of others just to be noticed.
- The opportunity to elevate ourselves over others – So many live by the theory that it is easier to tear others down than it is to build themselves up. The story is told that if you put one crab in a bucket, you need a lid or it will crawl out; however, if you put two crabs in a bucket, no top is needed. Every time one crab begins to crawl out, the other crab pulls him back in. Sadly, some people live the same way.
- Bitterness – Selfishly withholding forgiveness opens the door to a vengeful spirit, and slander is the tool of revenge.
- It soothes our own anxieties – Misery still loves company. When a person chooses to lose in life, he wants others to lose as well; that way, they can blame others for their problems together.

Scripture is very clear in its denouncements of slander: “Do not speak against one another, brethren. He who speaks against a brother, or judges his brother, speaks against the law, and judges the law: but if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law, but a judge of it. There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the One who is able to save and to destroy; but who are you who judges your neighbor?” (James 4:11-12, NASB)
I hope this article hits you like the book hit me—like a ton of bricks. We have been given the gift of encouragement and love. Let us begin to work together to watch our words and be a light in a dark world.
Find someone to forgive, someone to uplift, and someone to encourage. Be slow to speak and quick to listen. Catch your thoughts before they become words that are as impossible to retrieve as feathers in the wind. Guard your heart from bitterness, and beware of those who are bitter; for remember, misery loves company!
God bless,
Dan Hawkins

The Mental Fitness Challenge (MFC) has impacted thousands upon thousands of people's lives. Based upon the All-Time Top 100 Leadership Book RESOLVED: 13 Resolutions for LIFE by Orrin Woodward, the MFC is one of the most impactful personal development programs ever. Developed by the dynamic collaboration of Orrin and Chris Brady, the MFC is a step-by-step program for personal transformation. Here's an article from Chris describing further details.

Living the Life You've Always Wanted
The Mental Fitness Challenge: We’ve all heard about physical fitness programs since time immemorial. Nearly everyone has a product or program designed to help people get and maintain their fitness. Some of these are quite excellent. However, our physical condition is subservient to our mental condition. In other words, in life, to get and stay physically fit, one must ultimately become mentally fit. This applies in all the categories in which we live out our lives, such as finances, relationships, and the like. If we are not thinking correctly in these areas, aka “mentally fit,” then we will not have any real sustainable fitness in those areas.
Enter the Mental Fitness Challenge. Designed around the 13 resolutions put forth in Orrin Woodward’s best selling book, RESOLVED: 13 Resolutions for LIFE, the Mental Fitness Program helps people live the life they’ve always wanted to live. This is accomplished the way adults learn and grow – not through expensive conferences in tropical locations, or danger simulations and artificial adventures, or even high-priced concert/seminars with public figures – but rather through small, incremental, daily steps implemented according to timeless principles, as explained in Orrin’s book. After all, it’s the formation of new habits that brings lasting change, and this begins with exercising the mind and becoming mentally fit.
Just as a physical diet requires the elimination of bad foods and the increasing of the consumption of nutritious foods, so too does a mental fitness diet. With the Mental Fitness Challenge, participants are encouraged to begin bringing in small, daily doses of mentally nutritious information. At the same time, participants are encouraged to eliminate much of the bad information, or “junk food for the mind” that is often so thoughtlessly allow in.
Additionally, when learning something new, it is helpful to set goals, track progress, and receive encouragement from others. All this and more is structured into the process of the Mental Fitness Challenge. To begin, participants will be able to take a Self Assessment Test, in which they will establish a baseline for their life in each of the 13 resolutions. Also, if desired, 360 degree feedback can also be obtained through the same test, in which others can take the test on the participant’s behalf and have their opinion anonymously displayed.
There are many other features of the Mental Fitness Challenge, including audio, reading, and video training. More details can be found here.
The Mental Fitness Challenge: Challenge yourself to live the life you’ve always wanted!
Sincerely,
Chris Brady

LIFE Thinking
George Guzzardo shares his thinking on thinking in this enlightening article. Orrin Woodward has created an environment where hungry students can grow into top leaders. Claude Hamilton is quickly becoming one of the top community builders in the world though the LIFE Business training. It all begins with thinking and George describes it well below.
Orrin Woodward and the LIFE business have combined to provide an information age business under the newly created concept of compensated communities. How we think makes a difference in peoples lives. That’s why people from all over the North America are using this information to help them think and grow in the areas of family, marriage, parenting, finance, economics, history, and leadership. The testimonies on the front page of the LIFE web site are examples of people who apply new ideas that come from thinking. This begs the question, “how is this done?” You can find a big clue by examining the first recommended book in the Team training system. That book is ‘The Magic of Thinking Big’. Orrin, Chris Brady, and I all started our businesses with ‘The Magic of Thinking Big’ as our first book. That book is now listed in what the Team training system calls the ‘Top Five’ recommended books.
Thinking is arguably the most critical aspect to a successful, prosperous, and happy life. Thinking makes the difference. If anyone has room to grow toward the life they always wanted, then thinking will make it so. Looking into the concept of ‘thinking’ opened my eyes. In addition to the Magic of Thinking Big, another best selling book in the area of personal development and success is titled, ‘Think and Grow Rich’. One of the top Leadership experts, John Maxwell’s best selling book is titled, ‘Thinking for a Change’. Bill Gates wrote his best seller, 'Business at the Speed of Thought'.
Here is just a sample of what some of the greatest minds have said about thinking:
David, “As one thinketh in his heart so is he.”
Emerson, “Great men are those who see that thoughts rule the world.”, and “Life consists of what a man is thinking about all day.”
Milton, “The mind as its own place and in itself can make a heaven of hell or a hell of heaven.”
Shakespeare, “There is nothing either good or bad except that thinking makes it so.”
John Allen, “You are today where your thoughts have brought you. You will be tomorrow where your thoughts take you.”
Leo Tolstoy, “Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself.”
Jon Adams, “Let us dare to read, think, speak, and write.”
If you are a compensated community builder read the ‘Magic of Thinking Big’! David J. Schwartz Ph.D. wrote in his book, “You’re a product of your own thoughts”. “Your mind is a thought factory.” “What are you feeding the assembly line?” “Thinking guides your intelligence.” “Thought deposits become your memory.” “Memory supplies raw materials for new thoughts.” Adding the Team CD of the week program is the best raw material for building compensated communities in the information age.
Unlike popular theory, thinking does not come from true or false tests or multiple choice answers. The founders of the longest lasting Republic were very literate. They did this without compulsory schooling. Expanding ones thinking comes from reading. Words are the raw materials of thought. Words lead to images and visualization. This opens up the sub conscious mind where thinking lives. This leads to creativity. New ideas and insights provide answers to the problems we encounter in our daily situations. Remember what Schwartz writes, “Excellent ideas are not enough. The idea must be acted upon.” Many of our problems today could be a result of the high degree of illiteracy from an increase in propaganda from daily T.V. watching and technology that bombards with over information? Who has time to read? This is one critical reason why the LIFE business products are so important to our lives and our future. Until then, thanks for reading this blog. God Bless, George Guzzardo
